Brasil, Brasil!
Elder Alexander Montgomery Harris received his mission call to serve in the Brazil Ribeirao Preto Mission, and will report to the MTC in Sao Paulo Brazil on June 30, 2010! His mission was at one point part of Uncle Lee's mission, and is to the Northwest of Sao Paulo. It is called the "Brazilian California" for its mild climate and landscape similar to the Napa Valley and San Diego minus the coast.
He is very excited and the thought of being able to take his soccer cleats was a huge bonus for Alex. He actually received his call on the 16th of February while I was still at the Olympics in Vancouver so it sat on my desk for 4 days until he came home from school and opened it in front of family and friends at the Montgomery's home with his Dad on the phone. We are so proud of him, not for where he is going but, that he wants to go and is worthy to serve.

This is so fun to have another Portuguese speaker in the family! Alyssa has a friend in the Brazil MTC right now and he loves it there (compared to the Provo MTC where he had to go until his visa came in) Hopefully you will be like Daniel and your visa will come early!
